Is permanent makeup really permanent?
"Long term” would be a more accurate description. The fading process varies on each individual according to body chemistry and lifestyle, especially sun exposure and skin type. The more intense the color, the less obvious will be the change. For example, pink lipliner will fade sooner than black eyeliner. Touch-ups will be required to maintain color every one to five years. Color or design may be altered slightly at touch up sessions.
Is permanant makeup the same as body art tattooing?
Permanent makeup is considered a tattoo, but the pigments and tools used are specialized for micropigmentation of the skin on the face. The color is not as permanent as body art pigment and is placed on the dermal layer of the skin. Pigment may last 1 - 10 years depending on a variety of factors.
May I choose the color and shape?
Absolutely. We will begin with a consultation of your desired results, and nothing will be done without your approval. Color choices are selected to harmonize with your skin tone and natural coloring. We work with you to create an enhancing design based on your facial features and personal preference. We have a large variety of colors and can even mix to create your preferred shade.
What if I want to change hair color after the procedure?
No problem. Permanent makeup colors will be selected to harmonize with your natural skin tone and the final result should be very natural. Properly applied permanent makeup should not affected future hair color changes or traditional makeup application.
Is It Painful?
For your comfort, topical anesthetics designed specifically for this industry are used. Most clients experience mild discomfort; however, some experience more discomfort due to varying tolerance levels. The sensation has been compared to tweezing the eyebrows. For Full Lip treatments, some clients prefer to have a dental block before the treatment to numb the lips entirely. The only possible drawback to dental block is lower pigment retention during procedure.
How Long does the procedure take?
The entire session may take 1 1/2 - 3 hours. Times vary with different individuals and different procedures. The session may include paperwork, consultation, before and after photos and time for the topical anesthetics to take effect, as well as time implanting pigment. Due to the detailed nature of the work, procedures will not be rushed. To complete the look, a touch up procedure may be required after 4 - 6 weeks
What’s the recovery time?
You can go back to work right after the procedure. Each person varies slightly on the healing process, and there will be some swelling on the lips and eyeliner. It takes about a full week before the skin is considered healed. And 3 - 4 weeks for the pigment to settle in.The color looks darker at first and in time will lighten to the final result.
Is it safe?
If proper sterilization and sanitary guidelines are met, permanent cosmetics should be completely safe. Sterile needles brand new from the package are used for each procedure. |
